Why have extra steerer tube requiring spacers on top of your stem you ask? Well, many carbon steerers require that the steer tube extend above the stem. In 2016, TRP began working with reigning world cup champion, Aaron Gwin, to redesign our DH-R EVO brakes. Out of the gate, he was impressed with the initial level of performance, but he did have a list of improvements needed to achieve world cup-winning performance.
