Brakes/Levers/Pads

$299.99
The question we asked ourselves was: "how do we adapt our braking performance and power to the new standard of World-Cup level downhill racing?" No stone was left untouched, and the result at the end of the season was a completely re-designed DH-R: the new DH-R EVO. New ergonomic lever-blade, newly formulated brake pad compounds, new high-performance hydraulic oil, new 5mm brake hose-system, newly designed and CNC-machined adapters, new selection of 2.3mm rotors, newly designed oil flow inside the calipers, new hydraulic leverage ratio, and a new smaller-sized master cylinder piston combine to lift the overall performance of the DH-R EVO to this new standard of racing. LEVER: - Forged, CNC machined and polished lever body - Ergonomic lever blade - Dimpled accents for better grip on the trail - Advanced 9mm internal brake lever piston - Adjustable lever reach - Alloy master cylinder cap - Hinged lever clamp CALIPER: - Forged, CNC machined and polished caliper - New high flow design - Hybrid pistons - High performance resin pad compound - CNC machined and marked adapters ROTOR: - 2.3mm thick rotors - Compatible with 223/220/203/180/160/140mm rotors SYSTEM: - 5mm hydraulic brake hose - High performance hydraulic brake fluid - Weight: 310g (Front without rotor and adapter)

In 2016, TRP began working with reigning world cup champion, Aaron Gwin, to redesign our DH-R EVO brakes. Out of the gate, he was impressed with the initial level of performance, but he did have a list of improvements needed to achieve world cup-winning performance. Working closely with the TRP development team, improvements were made in nearly every part of the brake and tested on the world cup circuit throughout the season. We took most of the changes made to the DH-R EVO brakes and put them into the Slate T4. This brake features the same ergonomic lever made from cast aluminum and a forged/CNC'd caliper, both of which were given a matte black finish. It also features a new and stiffer 5.0mm hose for easier internal routing and better transfer of hydraulic power. Riders will also find benefits in the four-piston caliper, tool-free reach adjust, and top-loading caliper. NEW CNC ADAPTERS - CNC machined - Increased stiffness and clean fit - Simple information marking NEW BRAKE PADS - New performance resin compound - Increased thermal stability - Shorter bed-in process NEW MINERAL OIL - Lower viscosity for better fluid flow - Increased heat stability up to 230 oC - Easier to bleed ERGONOMIC LEVER BLADES - Lightweight aluminum body - Ergonomic single finger positioning - Dimpled accents for better grip on the trail NEW 5MM HYDRAULIC HOSE - Increased stiffness for better hydraulic pressure - Increased thermal stability - Easier to work with for internal frame routing

Finally: a mechanical disc brake for mountain bikes and fat bikes that offers superior performance and is a snap to set up. The Spyke is a dual-sided mechanical caliper where both pads actuate to provide even and precise clamping force. This results in even pad wear and easy pad adjustment with the addition of a barrel adjuster. No longer is adjusting the whole caliper necessary as the pads wear. All of this in a 169g (per caliper) package that works with all linear-pull levers. Caliper and mounting bolts included. SPECIFICATIONS - Dual-piston actuation - Even pad wear - Easy adjustment and set up - Works with ALL long-pull levers - TRP's own, ultra-grippy, semi-metallic pad that is Shimano M525/M515 compatible, allowing for further customization - Compound works well in dry conditions but may wear quickly in wet/muddy conditions - Rotor and adapters sold separately - Weight: 170g/caliper per wheel

The Spyre SLC is a mechanical disc brake that offers superior performance with incredibly easy setup. This is a dual-piston-actuated mechanical disc brake caliper that provides precise clamping force. This translates into even pad and rotor wear, because the rotor does not need to flex to one side during braking. We added a simple cable barrel adjuster to make fine tuning easy. All of this in an incredibly thin 40mm, 146g package that works with any drop bar levers on the market. Rotors and adapters are sold separately. For tandem bikes, we recommend the Spyre caliper paired with our 2.3mm thick rotors. This will give optimum stopping performance for you and your partner. SPECIFICATIONS - Weight: 146g per caliper - Carbon actuation arm for maximum rigidity, and weight savings - Dual-piston actuation - Works with ALL cable actuated road levers. Compressionless (linear strand) housing is highly recommended - TRP ultra-grippy semi-metallic pads. These are compatible with Shimano M525/M515 pads - Rotors, adapters, and flat mount mounting bolts sold separately - All flat mount calipers being mounted to the fork require the FF-5 Front Flat Mount 140/160mm adapter - Sold as a caliper only
$42.99 - $49.99
TRP's 2.3mm disc rotor designed specifically for use with select TRP DHR and E-MTB brakes only. Offers smooth braking and further improved heat dissipation. - Includes six T25 Torx mounting bolts
